Jon Lee and Sana Suh

• Every other Sunday at 3:00pm
• Rotating homes
• For families with young children

Our small group is designed with families in mind! We’ll gather in each other’s homes on a rotating basis, beginning our time with family-friendly praise songs alongside our children.

Together, we’ll reflect on the week’s sermon, share encouragement, and support one another as we walk through the joys and challenges of raising kids under God’s guidance.

Beyond our weekly gatherings, we’ll enjoy fun family activities (e.g., picnics, BBQs, hiking, apple picking) that give parents the chance to connect while the kids play and build friendships.

We believe it takes many prayers, strong community, and most of all, God’s grace, to grow spiritually and to raise our children well. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith and family!

We will generally plan to meet in Tenafly (about 5 minutes from Joy) although we will also ask for volunteers to host. Light snacks will be provided on a (voluntary) rotational basis among the small group members.

We will use each meeting to discuss the sermon from that Sunday and how each of us can apply that message to our lives in a practical and meaningful way.

In terms of fellowship activities, we anticipate one event for the women in the group, one event for the men in the group, and one combined celebratory event at the end.

• Every other Friday 10:30am-1:30pm
• Church (Green building)
• Women only (bilingual Korean and English)

We will be reading and discussing the book of James together using James: A 12-Week Study by Greg Gilbert. Known for its practical wisdom, the Book of James also offers thought-provoking teachings on topics such as wealth, anointing with oil, prayer, healing, and the relationship between faith and works. Ultimately, James reminds us of the vital connection between genuine faith and heartfelt obedience.

As wives, moms, daughters, sisters, and friends, we’ll explore how these teachings apply to our daily lives — encouraging us to live with integrity, support and uplift one another, face challenges with faith, and reflect God’s love in everything we do.

Watch the overview HERE

우리는 함께 Greg Gilbert 의 야고보서: 12주 성경 공부 (James: A 12-Week Study (Knowing the Bible))

Bobby & Ana Kim

• Every other Sunday, 2:30-5:00pm
• Rotating homes (base in Ridgewood)
• Families with preteens and teens

Parenting preteens and teens can feel like new territory; full of questions, challenges — sometimes, even distance. Many of us wonder how to really connect with our kids in these years, how to guide them with both truth and grace, and how to help them grow in their walk with Christ.

Together, we’ll read Age of Opportunity: A Biblical Guide to Parenting Teens by Paul David Tripp. This book reminds us that the teenage years are now something to simply get through, but a God-given chance to shape our children’s hearts and point them to Jesus.

Our group will be a space to share honestly, pray for each other, and encourage one another as parents and couples. We’ll also share meals, enjoy family activities, and serve together, as we seek to raise the next generation to know and love the Lord.

If you’re looking for a place to grow in faith, find encouragement, and connect with other parents of preteens and teens, join today!

Tae & Gina Ham

• Every other Sunday at 3:00pm
• Rotating homes
• For families

You are never alone: God is with us, His angels surround us, and our church family walks beside us. This season, we’ll journey together in the strength of community, being sharpened and encouraged to live our Jesus’ greatest commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and love your neighbor as yourself (Matt. 22:37-39).

Our gatherings will be about meeting in one another’s homes, breaking bread, digging into the Word, praying with and for one another, and reflecting on sermons through honest discussion. Be ready to laugh, cry, and walk through life together — sometimes meeting as a full group, sometimes men and women separately — while also finding ways to make the children’s time meaningful.

If you have a desire to grow deeper in love and knowledge of God while building one another up in authentic community, join us as we explore what our Father has planned for this season!

This small group will be based on Dan Kimball’s How (Not) To Read the Bible: Making Sense of the Anti-Women, Anti-Science, Pro-Violence, Pro-Slavery, and Other Crazy-Sounding Parts of Scripture.

We hope this book will spark great and lively discussions around intimidating topics! Let’s read and discuss this book together (approx. 30 pages of reading/session).

In addition, we are looking forward to an annual getaway, fun fellowship events, and most importantly, getting to know each other in a deeper and meaningful level. Our daughter Hailee (7 years old) is always looking forward to small group and meeting new friends as well.

In the meantime, check out this podcast that highlights the book HERE.

Jason Suh // Jin Park

• Every other Sunday, 3:00-6:00pm
• Alternating activity (see below) and rotating homes
• Men only

We believe that God's glory can be found in his creation, and this small group aims to explore how we can deepen our connection with God by enjoying His creation in the indoors and outdoor setting. In doing so, we aim to also deepen our fellowship and faith together! We will meet every other week, and each meeting will alternate either an outdoor activity (ie: hiking, cycling, running, kayaking etc) or meeting at one another's homes on a rotating basis.

Therefore, the activities are not merely group outings, but they become opportunities for deepening our faith as we meditate on scripture and learn to lean on one another, as we journey together. We will be mindful to select activities according to the level of the members. We look forward to journeying with you next year experiencing God in all of his creation!
