I work in finance - investments. My wife is Samei and I have 3 kids (13, 10 and 8).
I came to Joy 12 years ago and over the years I served as TLC leader, GA teacher and now youth group teacher. I like to travel and my favorite destination is Turks and Caicos.
My family attends the 11:45am service but I attend the 9:30am service.
My favorite bible verse is Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
I am an attorney managing a small law firm in Palisades Park.
My wife, Liz and I have three (3) children named Noah (12), Gabrielle (9) and Josephine (7.75).
It has been over 13 years since we first came to Joy and I have had the pleasure to serve the church in areas including Small Group and TLC leadership, Deacon, treasury team, building committee, building fundraiser committee and emceeing. My passions include reading political thrillers by Vince Flynn (deceased) and Brad Thor, along with being a weekend golfer during the spring and summer months.
Our family attends the 11:45am Service in Englewood, but I would like to make every effort to be a part of the 9:30 am service as well. I pray in earnest knowing the Lord's Will always prevails and that His Will will allow our Next Generation Ministries to be blessed with their new Education Building in the near future.
I am a physician specializing in oncology (cancer care) at Valley Hospital. My wife is Soo and I have 3 children: Elias (8), Isaiah (6), and Chloe (4) who are all the joy of my life I joined Joy in 2006 (now its been 12 years!), and I've joined as a member I think around 2008. I made the decision to become a member because I was impressed with the strong level of faith in all the people in this church. I'm constantly learning from others, particularly in the areas of faith. There are so many people at Joy who profess and exhibit uncommon faith, they serve as an inspiration for me to keep building my own. I joined Joy 12 years ago with a lot of head knowledge, but this church has helped me learn to apply it. (What does faith look like in the real world? Come to Joy!)
My favorite verse is Galations 2:20, "I have been crucified with and Christ and no longer live but Christ lives is me. The life I live in the body I life in faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Ministries: I mostly serve in the worship ministry. Sunday worship, and the Youth Group worship mentorship program. I am also a deacon, so I'm available to do whatever is necessary for the Church. I attend the 11:45am Englewood service.
Phil's favorite bible passage is Psalm 27 because it reveals how God is our Light in every battle. Phil has been married to Kay for almost 19 years, and has 3 children. His favorite teacher in the world is his wife, Kay. His favorite preacher is Billy Graham.

Raised by his faithful grandmother, Phil's favorite patients are the aging veterans of World War II and Korea War who served with great faithfulness. His hobbies include triathlons and eating sweets. Phil has served in worship, prayer, small groups, and various committees.
